WAEC result (2020) released: Check it now

We gladly inform all candidates who sat for the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the release of the WAEC results of candidates who took part in the exam.

The correct procedure for checking your WAEC results online can be seen below.

According to the statistics released by the examination council, 65% of students obtained a minimum of credits in five (5) subjects and above, including Mathematics and English Language. The examination council also stated that the certificates of candidates whose results have been fully processed and released will be ready within the next 90 days, counting from Monday, 2nd November, 2020.

How to Check WAEC Result Online.

To check your WAEC result online,  you do not necessarily need to purchase a scratch card/pin to access your result. Candidates are to simply check the Smart Identity Card issued to them during the conduct of the examination for their Result Checker PIN and Serial Number.

  1. Go to WAEC 2020 result checking portal at https://www.waecdirect.org.
  2. Enter your WAEC Examination Number in the required column.
  3. Select your Examination Year i.e. 2020.
  4. Select your Examination Type i.e. SCHOOL CANDIDATE RESULT.
  5. Enter the Card Serial Number.
  6. Enter the Card PIN.
  7. Finally, click “Submit” button to get your 2020 WAEC Result.

If you experience any problems while checking your WAEC result online, Kindly contact their support team by sending the following details to waecsupport@fleettechltd.com for verification and assistance:
1. Error message displayed.
2. Your examination number.
3. Type of Exam.
4. Year of Exam.

Alternatively

For candidates who do not have access for whatsoever reason  to the smart identity card issued during the WASSCE examination, you can still check your WAEC result online by purchasing a scratch card or pin from a cyber cafe or any local vendor.

We would also like to remind all JAMB UTME/POST UTME  candidates who used awaiting result in filling their Post UTME forms to quickly update their application forms on their various university portal to increase their chances of admission.
